Gear up for adventure

Walk or bike along the paved Olathe Heritage Trail that connects Black Bob Park to Heritage Park. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at Black Bob Park, including a playground, aquatics center, fitness course, sports fields, bike trails, fishing, batting cages and a miniature golf course. Make sure to stop by the park on Saturday mornings for a local farmers market.

For more outdoor exploration, Lake Olathe offers fishing, disc golf and boating. A few miles away, the 116-acre Ernie Miller Nature Center & Park features three scenic hiking trails, a wildlife viewing room, a 500-gallon aquarium and an outdoor amphitheater.

Check out KC Watersports—open between April and October—for high-energy excitement on the water, including wakeboarding and waterskiing for all levels of experience. Don’t miss the Aqua Park, an inflatable playground on the lake where you can bounce, climb and slide into the water for a splashing good time.
